Glam, Bam, Thank You Ma'am.

Atelier Versace accomplished this amazing piece of construction by embroidering iridescent satin into a feather motif.

It's shiny, its busy, and it's absolutely fabulous.

I just love it when dresses aren't afraid of stepping outside the crayola box when it comes to color, and this beautiful royal blue is just unexpected enough to initially draw the eye in...

 Then, that detailing steps up and it's a serious one-two punch of ferociousness. Just a total knock-out dress.

Continuing on in the spirit of that last piece, here's another iridescent creation from Atelier Versace, only this time in black, and with shiny blue details on the inside and outside of the skirt.

I'm totally digging the contrasting glossy/matte fabrics that make up the bustier and the skirt, and utilizing three-dimensional chains as the straps and belt totally opens this shit up for practically any young female artist to wear for a touch of rocker-glam.

(Or hell, even a male artist. We're now living in the age of Adam Lambert, like it or not.)

It may not be the most "hand-over-the-mouth" gorgeous look, but its still fun, interesting, and memorable. Can't ask for much more than that in a gown.

... But speaking of "hand-over-the-mouth," check this shit out...

This? Is just stupid.

I can't think of any other words to describe the gorgeousness of this dress.

The details, the ruffles, the asymmetry...

While it may be a tad sluttacious with those cut-outs, it's seriously a marvel of construction and imagination.

All of the different textiles: From satin for the main body, then silk tulle, vinyl, and organza for the detailing... I really hope to see some incarnation of this gown come awards season.

(Only the most brave and creative need apply, of course.)

This, the final look that I'm going to showcase from the collection, is probably my least-favorite of the three black gowns.

But honestly, that just speaks way more to the unfaltering beauty of this collection rather than to the shortcomings of the dress in particular.

Because this? Is totally glamour-gorgeous.

The construction is impeccable, those metal-and-mirror details are beautifully unique, and the overall look is (once again) all about the upper-half of the garment.

Which is not to say that the skirt is slouching, because that black satin looks like a beautiful oil spill, the way that it flows and ever-so-slightly puddles on the floor.

Ugh, it's hard to critique dresses that have so little wrong with them... I wish Atelier Versace would just send some trash-rags my way so I could tear 'em apart with my words!
