Origami Chic

These paper dresses were crafted for L'Officiel magazine by Russian creative agency Doberman Studio.

Now, the actual focus of the editorial is supposed to be on the jewelry, but to be completely honest, I couldn't pry my eyes off of the amazing feats of paper construction.

I love how they focused on making sure that the paper looked like actual paper. (No braiding or weaving in an attempt to emulate fabric.)

They completely embraced the medium, and it's really some beautiful stuff.

Let's get on with showcasing the pieces:

The only thing that could have taken this shoot to an even higher level?

Introducing a hyperactive child with a big magic marker to the set and letting him go apeshit on each of these.

The Before/After shots would have been to die for.

But then again, it's entirely possible that the kid would have just drawn boobs and smileys all over the pieces, so maybe it's just as well...
